God's own ANGEL

Struggling to widen my pupils and trying to acquaint with some fresh faces was a situation of utter muddiness for me some 23 years back. With every sense of care and love, my eyes blinked and listening to those lullabies, I winked. With the advent of time I began to perceive things and people I met. Whenever I opened my eyes there was a fresh face with an affectionate smile staring at me. I could sense my fingers clinched, making me stand on my feet. There she was, all the time, caring for me. “Maa”, the first word we fumble, and the greatest gift from GOD we all perceive on our arrival on this earth. She wipes your tears, hugs to warm u in winters, remain awake to fan during dark nights and what not. And then again every morning is a battle for her as all her ‘sleepy headed’ children do not dare to get up early. She chases you with a glass of milk or sometimes with a bit of food just to see you growing healthy. She fights all such battles but just to make us warriors. There we are found, her real warriors, involved either in school fights or punching the boy next door. And once again our beloved mother comes to our rescue. Once we reach the adulthood she teaches us to be sociable and there we are adhering to all her social lessons; maintaining social relationships by either being on orkut or by lying in corner, phone lying slackly upon us, we drowned in romance and totally dumb to all her yells
Whether it comes to sharing the joy of our first job or first pay check, we often prefer to celebrate with our friends. Do we forget the time she contended with our father for extra pocket money?

I do not intend to say we, as children do not care for our mother but at times we become ignorant when we should not. We often care for our lover’s expectation but rarely of our mother’s. A beautiful series of words “Someone somewhere must be waiting for you” is often quoted in text messages. Doesn’t this always lead to an imagination of a lover? Think of your mom for a while. Somewhere in her heart our mother waits for us, to have a glimpse of us when we are far or to share feelings when we are with her. Remember the last time you hugged her or you shared a smile with her. Do we really need a special day for all such things? Hug her, write a letter or share a secret with her. Make her feel special today and I am sure the day itself would become special.

“Make her realize you are always there for her”
